The Fine Print
Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect almost nothing, we set no tracking cookies, and what you send us stays between us. The long version follows.
Who We Are
Maison Alchemy (“we”, “us”) publishes maisonalchemy.com (the “Site”) and is the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at contact@maisonalchemy.com. We serve clients internationally; this policy is written to meet the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is also the strictest standard we are subject to.
What We Collect, and Why
The contact form. When you write to us through the Site, we receive what you type: your name, work email, company, country or market, and your message. We use it for exactly one thing: reading it and answering you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a message you chose to send (and, where the conversation continues, the steps leading to a possible engagement).
The mailing list. If you subscribe to hear from us, we keep your email address on the strength of your consent, and use it to send you what you signed up for. Nothing else. Every message we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing is immediate. We never buy, sell, rent, or trade addresses.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, request, timestamp) for security and operation of the Site.
Audience measurement. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate: which pages are read, from which country, on what kind of device. It works without cookies and without cross-site tracking (visitors are never identified or followed around the web), and no advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or pixels are set anywhere on the Site. That is why the Site greets you with content instead of a consent banner.
Who Touches the Data
Two processors act on our documented instructions:
Vercel Inc. (United States) hosts the Site and processes the technical logs above. Resend (United States) delivers the email behind the contact form. Both are bound by data-processing agreements incorporating the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EU/EEA.
Beyond these, we disclose personal data only if the law obliges us to.
How Long We Keep It
Correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation (or the engagement it led to) remains live, then for the period our legal obligations require. Mailing-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. We delete what we no longer need.
Your Rights
Where the GDPR (or an equivalent law) applies to you, you may ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a portable copy, or a restriction of processing; you may object to processing based on legitimate interest; and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting what was done before. Write to contact@maisonalchemy.com and we will answer within a month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
The Site is a business-to-business showcase and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. A change never reduces your rights over data collected under the old one.
